drogheda marks
Has anybody fished the docks area in drogheda...specifically the area around the flo gas terminal on the south side and the cement factory on the north....the shipping channel looks fishy to me..looks like a good area for flounder...I've travelled the road to mornington often, but have never seen anglers in the area ,which might speak for itself...

Re: drogheda marks
nice and clear yesterday, but all the fish (sea trout) caught were very small. Have on caught one decent fish there this year out of about 15 fish caught. Don't know why they are all so small.
Any ideas ?

Re: drogheda marks
you usually get the immature fish 1/2 LB- 2LB around this time of the year, they will try move up the river with abit of a spring tide, the bigger fish will come in when theres a good flood on the river and a high spring tide. sea trout and salmon like darkness when going upstream but you will get them during the day when a river is flooding..
I think you need a license to fish for them even spinning on the beach, it has all changed now since i last river fished

Re: drogheda marks
Yeah you need a license to catch them even down by the coast. Will wait for more of a flood in the river and try it then. All fish were about half pound to pound max.
