This gallery could be in danger of becoming the Brian Smith catalogue!  That man again, off the same trip, with a nice Ling, taken on very light tackle using a shad on a leadhead, on board "Shamrock 1" with Mary Gavin-Hughes.  July 2004.

That man again with a Red Gurnard... July 2004.  This was taken on baited hookai feathers on the drift over reefs / kelp. The trip gave the two anglers no less than twenty seven species over their five days... there is only forty odd available!

Finally a shot of the skipper herself with a Bull Huss taken from a deep channel on a 6/0 baited with a Mackerel Flapper.  Loads of Dogfish taken as well, all released back.  July 2004.

Another Bull Huss, this time from the shore in Salthill, with Steve Turner showing it.  He said it reached 5.8 kilos (13 lbs) and it was taken on a Mackerel bait. This is the same mark as was alluded to in BigCol's thread on the forums.  July 2004.

July Prizewinner... here is Colin Brett with his first ever Bull Huss, taken in brilliant sunshine at low water on a small Mackerel bait on a 2/0 hook from Rossanrubble. July 2004.  It weighed just over 3 kilos (7 lbs).  Double click for full picture.

Steve Turner with his first ever Bass, taken from Silver Strand, early to judge by the photo (!) and weighing in at a handsome 3 kilos (just under 7 lbs).  It fell to a legered lugworm bait two hours after high water.  July 2004.  Well worth the bleary eyes!
