Prizewinner! Peter Duffy with a fine Wrasse on Dursey Sound in Cork, using
ragworm. Many excellent fish were taken there,
along with Pollack to 4 lbs, Mackerel and Congers to > 20
lbs. June 2004.

A
nice photograph of a Tope from Doug Peach of Donegal SAC, taken in Lough
Swilly from May 2002. It won him the Tope Festival First Prize and
was caught using a side of Mackerel.

Not to be
outdone, from a few years back aboard the "Durty Fecker I" off
Greystones in August 2003, here is Luke Scully with a female Tope
approaching 17 kilos (45 lbs), taken on a Mackerel flapper.

Atkins from the forum with a nice 5 lb Thornback ray taken on sandeel on
a clipped down rig with 1/0s. He had a massive bag of
Dogfish, a Mackerel, a Whiting and two more Thornbacks off the same

Peter
Atkins offering up a double shot of Dogfish and Thornback Ray. He
must have taken at least fifteen Dogfish in four hours, with the top
one, a male, weighing in on his "lie detector" at a shade
under the shore specimen mark of 3 lbs. Here's the report.
