Were not sure who MOPS is, but we are reliable informed by Conor that this is his first Pollack!  It was taken on the same trip on a 2 metre flowing trace boomed off a weak link lead with a nice Procast shad waggling away behind it!  May 2004. Its rare that we only put up a picture of a fish, and not even one taken from the sea at that! Here is Brian Cooke's beautiful photograph of his Twaite Shad, taken on a Tasmanian Devil at St Mullins on the river Barrow in May 2004.  Double click on the picture for the full image.

May Prizewinner! Steve "Crow" Turner  with a fine 7 lb sea trout taken at low water from Salthill in Galway (seriously!) on a 2/0 hook with mackerel as bait.  He caught a small rockling too... ahem!  May 2004  May Prizewinner! Conor McGuire off Dalkey Island with a 3 lb Pollack caught on a red Procast shad.  That's a very good fish for the Dublin area, which just goes to show that the fish are there! May 2004.

June Prizewinner! Ronald Surgenor with a nice 6 lb Pollack from outside Bangor otaken on a light spinning rod and baitcaster on just 5 lb braid line, and using a black green jelly worm.  Excellent sport.  June 2004.

Luke Scully, mostly likely somewhere out on the Kish Bank (!) with a fine 7 lb Pollack taken from an undisclosed wreck mark on a small black redgill lure, presumably fished on a flying collar. June 2004.
