Talk about a man with the bit between his teeth!  Luke Scully again with a fine 20 lb specimen Thornback Ray taken on his standard big critter rig of wire trace and 10/0 hook baited with half a fresh mackerel flapper.  Courttown.  August 2004.

A Wicklow Smut at last!  Brian Cooke, as reported on the forum, with that 6 lb smoothhound taken on a multiple peeler crab bait very close to shore - no more than 25 yards out - not a bad substitute for the targeted big Bass!  August 2004.

The is Sheila Friel with a Cuckoo Ray, a rare capture take on Pat Robinson's boat off Donegal.  The fish was taken on 3/0 hook on a 1.3 metre running leger with mackerel on an ABU 7000 and 15 lb Ugly Stick.  August 2004.  Double click for picture.

Here's Paul O'Donoghue off the forum with a nice Ballan Wrasse, around the 3 to 4 lb mark, taken from flat rocks near Streedagh Point in Co. Sligo with a beachcaster on 20 lb line with size 3 Aberdeens loaded with ragworm. August 2004.

Prizewinner! Here's m.b3 from the forum with a lovely 2.5 kilo Bass taken on a carp rod and light tackle from off the Bull Wall in Dublin.  The fish is still out there and fell to ragworm.  August 2004.

A cracking shore Pollack topping 3 kilos (6.5 lbs) from Ronald Surgenor taken near Ballintoy in Antrim.  It fells to a silver and red toby on spinning gear in very kelpy ground.  August 2004.
