rig of wire trace and 10/0 hook baited with half a fresh mackerel

A Wicklow Smut at
last! Brian Cooke, as reported on the forum, with that 6 lb
smoothhound taken on a multiple peeler crab bait very close to shore -
no more than 25 yards out - not a bad substitute for the targeted big
Bass! August 2004.

The is Sheila Friel
with a Cuckoo Ray, a rare capture take on Pat Robinson's
boat off Donegal. The fish was taken on 3/0 hook on a 1.3 metre
running leger with mackerel on an ABU 7000 and 15 lb Ugly

Here's
Paul O'Donoghue off the forum with a nice Ballan Wrasse, around the 3 to
4 lb mark, taken from flat rocks near Streedagh Point in Co. Sligo with
a beachcaster on 20 lb line with size 3 Aberdeens loaded with ragworm.

Here's
m.b3 from the forum with a lovely 2.5 kilo Bass taken on a carp rod and
light tackle from off the Bull Wall in Dublin. The fish is still
out there and fell to ragworm. August 2004.

A cracking shore
Pollack topping 3 kilos (6.5 lbs) from Ronald Surgenor taken near
Ballintoy in Antrim. It fells to a silver and red toby on spinning
gear in very kelpy ground. August 2004.
