My thanks to Colin Brett for the photograph, just yours truly with a Thornback from Rossanrubble right on the point of high tide.  The best of the day, touching 2.5 kilos (6 lbs)...  July 2004.

This is Richard Reville with a nice 4 lb Bass taken on a plug trolling in Wexford Harbour behind the old railway bridge near Kaats Strand, with Michael Flood at the tiller. July 2004.

This is James Guerin from Cobh, on board Jim Clohessy's boat, the SKUA, with his first specimen Coalfish, a 24 lb fish taken on a shad on the lask drift over a wreck off Cork. August 2004.

Neil Moroney took three Spotted or Homelyn Ray from near Fanad, taken on a 3/0 Pulley Rig with Herring as bait on the last hour of the flood tide  This fish weighed 4 lbs.  August 2004.

Here's Stephen McCracken from Belfast with a nice Tope just under 40 lbs taken on a private boat, the St Jude owned by John Kehoe.  It fell to a mackerel flapper near Helly Hunter Rocks.  August 2004.  The fish was returned alive and well.

Here's Darragh Hughes with a fine Blonde Ray of just over 15 lbs taken just two miles off Bray Head on his Dad's Boat with a flowing 4 foot trace with a 4/0 hook baited with mackerel. August 2004. I'm suspecting that this one got battered! :-)
