Heading down to Newcastle with the old man tomorrow. Havn't been beach fishing in over a year so hoping to get a bit of good luck on the weed front at least. A few fish would be nice too :)

Has anyone been down that way recently? Cheers

Was in Kilcoole on Sunday morning and saw some lad pulling in a rake of weed on the beachcasting gear. Was grand on lures though except for no fish!. None of the floating green weed. But if the lures hit the bottom I'd pick up weed on them. Maybe it's just the beach in Kilcoole that's like that though? Moderate south easterly today so that might weed it it up a bit down there too?
