first double hound

Duration:3 hours

Tide:dropping

Weather:brill

Bait:crab

Rigs:one hooked clipped on two rods

Results:see picture




Report:
had some bait left over from weekend so headed to nth wex beach not to hopefull as tide was dropping nothing for 2 and a half hours so i packed on what was left of the crab only in the water when one rod gave a small knock pup i thought held the rod then all hell broke loose i knew it was a good fish as i had good hounds before it brought me up and down the beach after about 10 minutes i got it close to the beach but it was having none of it out it went again after what seemed ages i finally beached it . sods law no camera no scales but a passer bye asked could she photo it and fair play she sent it on.it measured 1017 and i reckon it over 14lb back it went to fight another day .

thanks for all replies .ive been knocking on the door for a double for a while and it just goes to show you that the big one can show up when you least expect it .right place at the right time or just jammy.speaking of jammy thanks to lady for photo
