bomber rig????????

#1 Post by flounder5791 »

was looking through a rig booklet i got free in a tackle shop and came across a rig called the bomber rig it is a rig that has a short botttom snood and a very long top snood but both snoods fit into the bait clip to maximize casting distance i was just wondering if anyone has used it and if the top and bottom snood get tangled???
click to see a pic of the rig

bomber rig is fine in calm water any bit of a current at all and it will most likely get tangled.......the long lost brother of the new and improved 2h clipped!!!

indeed, you are not mistaken, it's still lovingly called the "goldsy rig" within a small circle of successful anglers ;) best rig ever invented IMHO

hate the bomber rig, better off sticking to a normal 2 hook flaper (cliped) if you want more distance
