When is the best time of year to fish the Shannon estuary

Ray start arriving at the middle/end of April then things keep going until about November..

took a quick trip recently just to dust off some of the gear, hit a few flounders but nothing of size, there's a new tackle shop open in Glin, west coast tackle, worth a look, mainly based around sea angling as opposed to the shops in Limerick city.

Thanks for the reply it is certainly on my bucket list for the year .need to invest a good Friday to Sunday session to really experience the area

The Shannon house is a grand spot to stay in foynes with a few marks within walking distance

The Yankee Clipper in Foynes, Pops Moran (landlord) is into the fishing and is knowledgeable of the area.
