My favorites got to be the Zziplex M4 evo, and daiwa 7ht mag, would like to hear other people's choices.

I have a 15 yr old Zziplex 2500 lm and (an old telegraph pole) Mitchel, just getting back in to sea fishing after some years due to a drowning accident , anyway I'm looking at upgrading my second rod to an Ian Golds international Match , read some good reviews about them.
Will couple it with a Shimano Aertex .. also have a ABU 6500 rocket & Daiwa SL30-Sh (Can be used for light boat work also ... hooked me a good tope last year)

field= primo syhrco xl and abu 5500

beach=afaw match or zziplex profile and 525/515 or 7ht mag

come to think of it that could change depending on venue and mood, but the 55 and xl is my favorate combo

The penn venom for me and a super mag cant say enough about this rod even if it is a bit old now 8)

depending on venue: Penn rough stuff with a supermag extra or zziplex primo syncro with a abu 6500 :wink:

mitcehelling for the rod(beach cast)
shimano baitcaster 8000 those are my favotite gear

shimano catana spining rod 10 foot,with abu spining reel for play around

but be honest 2 years ago i catch rainbow trout with my son tacle who was 4 at that time,very light rod( i bought for him i belive it was 4 euro or something and very light reel both from from euro shop it was again less than fiver)
man never forgot that fish i felt every second movement.it was unforgetable fish for me.
ps;rod gone after that jurney but reel still ok :D :D

for boat fishing i use shimano trinidat 30 but agein time to time i use this reel for shore fishing too,its ok for beach but little bit heavy for ireland however i love my trinidat 30

I would say my favourite rod and reel r my conoflex frenzy and my abu 6500 i think its a perfect match for the beach
