Any one else getting excited bout the return of the hounds, well I can tell ya I am roll on late april early may, in the words of Henry Gillby Im going to be a gibbering wreck.

Be trying for small pups this weekend.I love baggin up with them in comps.

Yeah they're great, nothing in them but they hit 40cm not a bother.

bring them on :D nothing like being draged along the beach for 50 or 100 yrds by a hound .for
their size they have to be the best fighting fish in irish waters :P

I'd agree with you there Ger,hope this year is as good as last year, you cant beat hearing the reel screaming as they hit the bait,well I suppose you can, you can beat it by successfully landing them :wink:

heres 2 good videos about fishing for smoothies, theres some good tips in part 1 for any smoothie virgins(like me) and the 2nd part is of them catching them to just under 16lbs.
