There's often people spinning into the estuary from the Malahide in the summer and you hear the odd report of a sea trout or bass. There's a lot of crabs in the estuary so I'm not sure about bait fishing but would be interested to find out myself.

Been fishing here a few times throughout the year spinning and Bait on the Rocks beside Whitesands Hotel with Nothing to account for!
There are reports on here with people catching Sea Trout where the Estuarry meets the sea there.
Let me know if you catch anything :-)

Hey, I've fished it a good few times with mixed results. Bait fishing a mack strip at the Oscar Traynor side of the mouth of the estuary got me a Sea Trout of around 2 1/2lbs and a reasonable Flounder. Trout was taken on the rising tide during the day, Flounder at night. Be very careful where you set up as the tide can come round you very quickly there. Its not the best spot to be honest! Good luck
