glasgow angling center

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

Never been to the new superstore but used to go to the one in the gallowgate area of glasgow, which was pretty impressive but i believe the new one has to be seen to be believed.

its a fair lump of a place indeed, i wish though that as it is a place of a large size that they would stock a few more of the higher end bits and bobs in the market... quite a lot of 'budget' tackle. having said that they must have plenty of decent stuff too, i spent an average of £100 in it ever time i was in on bits and pieces, and that was sometimes once a month!
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!

Just to comment on that I've used them three times and had no problems at all. Very happy with them. It's a pity you had bad luck with them Eoin. I found them easy to email and call to deal with so I hope you got your orders sorted out.

Had problems with the online side and they weren't very helpful either, very slow to respond - prices good but the online service is very poor

i would say the best thing to do about the online site is dont bother if your have in trouble................. get a flight for 2euro head over buy what u want have a good night on the town and fly home next day will end up nearly cheap r than the post for your tackle ha

and they have a online service where you can give them a time to ring you back and they will ring you back at that time great it is

happy christmas to all

Anytime I have contacted them to buy or enquire about something they have always been very helpful and have done their best to get what I wanted.
Anything I have got off them has been off good quality and I found their prices to be reasonable too. :D
Only my opinion though.

my main problem would be with what they stock, most of it seems to be catered towards the newbie or pleasure angler who goes out every now and then. dont want to sound snobbish but the majority of the stock they sell is is pretty basic. i do most of my online shopping with veals, they're always helpfull, have a fantastic range of stuff and above all are very god value
