Anyone know what kilcoole or greystones is like? Planning on trying there later with lures. Tides aren't huge and even though it's windy it's offshore so am hopeful but I'm traveling from north county Dublin so a heads up would be great if anyone has been fishing around there last few days. Thanks

Hi, I was literally just going to post a message to say that I was fishing in Kilcoole yesterday afternoon (Sunday 27th) and that while it was fairly clear in at the shore, there was some stringy weed around 60/70yrds out which was smothering the baits. Little in the way of bites btw, although I was glad to pick up a nice size doggie on rag, and a dab which tried to gob down two nice sandeels I had earmarked for my first ray.

Hi,
Was wondering how long it takes for the water to clear after some heavy easterlies..?
3-4 days?

Ballinoulart on Monday, very little weed on the ebb, then increasing amounts as the flood tide progressed, still fishable but annoying :D

Hi tightlines i was down in cullinstown on monday 31st and there were no weed problems but with the strong southerlies blowing today into tomorrow might mess things up. If the wind turns to anything but southerlies you could be fine.

Morning all, the weed was terrible down at 5 mile point yesterday (Wed. 22nd). My baits were getting smothered by it, even the crabs couldn't find them.

Bad weeds off Bray head last night (Aug 16). Drifting kelp it seems.

Kilcoole was unfishable yesterday with the amount of weeds at high tide. Tried different spots for 2km south of the train station but couldn't find any sandy areas.
Anyone know any beech in Wicklow or Dublin not over run with weeds at the moment? Greystones was good a bit over a week ago.

South westerly wind seems to bring it on in Wexford beaches
