Had 6 mackerel on Fenit Saturday night (20/07 ). About an hour before dark a small shoal came through and everyone on the bridge had 2/3 then later on just as it got dark another shoal ran through.

I was in Clogherhead yesterday, about an hour after high tide. For the first time this year there were plenty of fry, but no mackerel. I was, however, quite flattered by the 6 seals watching me - clearly they expected me to pick up a few!

I was in Cloggerhead this morning on the pier with an incoming tide. No macs but the seals were eating plate sized flatties 5 yards off the end. I'm sure they were just taking the proverbial :D

Fished various points along north of Clew Bay at HW over the last few weeks. Not a sausage. Granted in daylight, not out at dusk.
Had plenty of company on other points and no one was catching diddly. Very disappointing.

Mackerel at ballycotton last night 2/7. Most productive 1 hour before high tide until 1 1/2 after. Definitely better as the tide was going.

Black Head and points north not a mack or anything else for that matter.
Early am 5/8/19 at high tide before and after. Heavy rain showers passing through.

Anywhere in Munster you’d get a chance of a Squid from shore ?

Mackerel fishing from the shore has (in my experience) completely fallen off a cliff. It's odd because there seems to be no great trouble getting them from the boat. For some reason they just don't seem to be coming inshore
