Waterford Cod

#1 Post by freedom1916 »

Lads don't think I've ever asked for a mark before but I'm looking for marks around Waterford for cod. I normally fish cork for them but would like to try Waterford for a change this year. Thanks.

Not that I have fished there myself (I stick to Cork!), one spot I hear mentioned is the Siur estuary at Cheekpoint. Because it's an estuary, I would reckon that low (and perhaps high) water on neap tides would be best.

casting downstream from the end of the pier in Arthurstown into rough ground at night has produced codling in the past, albeit technically that's in Wexford!
