North East 14-6-15

#1 Post by freedom1916 »

People: Myself

Duration: 7.30pm to 11.00pm

Tide: High at 11.15ish

Weather: Sunny and warm

Bait: Fresh Lug

Haven't posted a report here in a while now.

How and ever due to playing taxi driver on Saturday night for the other half and her friends my plans for Sunday morning went out the window.
\I decided early in the day to try the local beach for a few hours and got down to the estuary at low tide to dig some lug for the evening.

Headed down to the mark at about 7.30 and set up two rods.
1st rod had a three hook flapper with beads. 2nd rod just a plain 2 hook flapper.
Put one bait at distance and one close in .
1st bait was only in the water and i seen a little rattle on the rod tip brought in a nice little flounder.
Took a while for the next fish but got another flounder after about an hour.
The was plenty of weed about so reeling in and bait changing very regularly.
Ended up with 5 flounder nothing bigger knocking around. The distance rod had 3 and the close in one had 2, so nothing really in the difference.

Nice evening/night to be out. Hopefully there will be some nice hounds and bass for me in the coming weeks.
