Smoothound where?

#1 Post by alan81 »

well lads I was fishing at dogs rocks in Courtown last night and I got a small Smoothound pup but I was told that Smoothounds were fishing well there lately. I think another pup was caught further up the beach. so my question is can anyone hep me find a good spot on the Wexford coast for some Smothounds. fairly new to shore fishing so all help appreciated.
Thanks lads.

lads a question about Killmuckridge. it stays shallow for a good way out, in shallow water do I need to cast out to deeper water or will a 50-60 yard cast still do for Smoothounds?

Kilmuckridge fished brilliantly in a club comp 2 weeks ago, low water into darkness was key. Massive casts not necessary but the further the better over the bank, crab a must. 200 yards to the right of the gap fished best,

There is a hot spot to the left, but it produces more of them silver spikeys than smuts!

Dodds rocks is usually class though??
