Anyone getting any wrasse around north dublin lately

I'd say the wrasse will be like hens teeth now, you might get 1 or 2 off the end of the lighthouse pier in Howth.

as above said its too late for them now but in season killiney in sth dublin is full of them had three there over 3lb earlier this year and have had specimen fish 4 and 5lb in the past

Still plenty to be had from the boat in south dublin,i see no reason why you wont get them from the shore :wink:

Got 1 today on a 4inch senko off howth pier opposite of the lighthouse side About 2lb

Good going getting the Wrasse, saw a couple of nice coalies (40cm) caught out there this summer, Wonder if it's worth a shot on a night tide?

yea sad to see, you wana hear the shite he was trying to tell me, there fast growers and there loads of fish in the sea... the worst part i thought was he wasnt even from ireland, i no a man is entitled to a fish or two and doesnt matter that he not irish n all but he had absolutely no respect at all for the species, were he got his facts i couldnt tell you, i think he just made them up in his own mind, thinking i didnt understand about the about the species.

suppose it wil end up like everything else in this country, used and abused,
any wonder the sport is in decline
