I got a new rod for Christmas and want to try it out. Havent been fishing for a few months

. I am in the Dublin area and have a car to use. Any spots would help pm if you want. Very desperate to go fishing.

covering - safety, techniques, lure types and equipment, species, catch and return etc

How are ya jack.
Its a poor time of year for spinning at sea to be honest, not a whole lot happening. If I was you would try and maybe get out after the pike!?
