socks

#1 Post by kieran »

Hi

Don't laugh! I've been using the waders a bit this winter and really enjoyed it but maybe its age, but my feet are getting damn cold. I have a great sub-10 body suit kinda thing (ALDI's finest) which under a few layers keeps me warm but the feet are going blue!

Can anyone recommend a good solution here - one that bulks it up a bit to stop the pressure on my knackered ankle as well as the cold?

What do people use?

Good wool socks ,the wool will keep your feet dry and make sure your feet have room to move in your boots if they are even a little bit tight your feet will never be warm.

pair of thin socks under the thick ones and a good pair of boots with a good thick sole and bring a spare pair and leave them in the car for the way home, essential in this weather

Get socks that wick the sweat away from your feet most outdoor stores sell them they are usualy not cheap but work very well it's the sweat that makes ur feet cold these socks help a lot.then get a pair of heat holders to put over then.i swear by this use them my self works very well

Whatever sox you get be sure that they have "soft grip" elastic at the top so they don't cut off your circulation.
