Heya lads I'm planning a trip to killiney beach and am just wondering how it is fishing at the moment. Pm me if u don't want to post it up on the site . Thanks in advance lads
Species 2014; coalie, whiting,flounder, smoothound, LSD, codling, pollock,pouting, cookoo wrasse, goldsinny wrasse, mackerel, blue shark, conger eel, rock goby, blenny, plaice, dab, herring, poor cod,painted ray, weaver,
Species 2013:......Whiting, dab , flounder, codling, pouting, mackeral, dogfish, pollock, 3beard rocking,plaice, smoothound, blenny.
Species 2012:...whiting, dab, flounder, codling, pollock, conger,mackeral, herring, 3 beard rockling,
5 beard rockling, pouting, LSD,sea trout,scorpion,

I fished it a few weeks ago, while catching nothing huge I had lots of fish and 6 different species, most fish were right under my nose and very little were taken at any sort of distance. Lug and mackerel were the killer baits. If you don't mind a bit of hardship the rough ground by the tea rooms can throw up some better fish but be prepared to loose gear

i fished coburn lane a while back and had a great session with nice coaley and codling plus a few other species 7 in total frozen crab took the codling and lug and mack the took the rest coburn lane is just at the church in shankill

I was catching loads of coalies there last week at the era rooms the biggest being about a pound and a half to frozen crab

can through up some decent coalies and flounder well into february- usually close in like bigsod said. lug and mussel can be a good bait and generally you dont need heavy gear. always worth a chuck.
