Hi lads heading diwn to the wall on sunday anyone know how its fishing at the moment ? Thanks lads

It's full of cod between a pound and a half and three and a half , bring plenty of crab . Low water fishing best as when the tide starts running your lead will struggle to hold bottom . Have had two short goes down there , two of us had twenty odd cod in a few hours . To be honest catching fish that size on heavy gear is not much sport but with the strength of tide it's what you need . The further you can cast and hold bottom the better the fishing .

Would you not fish youghal at ferry point or up the river and try for the bigger cod?

We were only looking at monkstown because were picking up a new kayak around there ..... Not sure where were going yet
