There small codling flats and whiting caught off the beach around now ya,d have a better chance of some bigger codling off the head itself were the water is deeper

Cheers bud. Is it suitable to fish at nite at the head ? Is this to the right of the pier you mean ? I had thought I'd fish through the nite at the pier just for safety

fished the rocks last night, one small codling for the effort. The place is just made of dab at the moment! They were striping our cod baits and coming in in twos and threes on the scratcher rod! To answer your question, the rocks are very tricky at night! Wecould not actually find the spot we had picked out during the daytime and eventually settled on a safer perch. The rocks are sharp, steep and slippy but it's a lovely spot at night during calm weather!
