My brother jus stared using a multi and he bought that rod to match and I must say it's a great rod for the price ideal for clean beaches it's light and responsive and has enough power to cast a five ounce lead and trace a fair way I use rods times the price of it and I was really impressed with what ya get for the price I think it's about one thirty to buy I could be wrong though but it beats any other rods around at that price imo

I had a fixed spool one but the tip got slammed on a car door, I replaced it with the multiplier version so I've had experience with both types. Great rod. I got casting lessons before and the lads that were teaching me were all well impressed with the rod too. Light, powerful and good bite detection.
