Skerries and Rodgerstown Estuary

#1 Post by jhcabs »

Hey Guys

I will be moving home to Skerries in a few months and i can't wait to get out and learn a new local patch. I have visited the area a few times recently but only walking with my girlfriend, so i haven't tried any fishing yet. I'm not looking for anyone's local secrets but i'd really appreciate some guidance or advice on what the area is like and the type of tactics that work or what i can expect to catch in different seasons. Maybe a PM might be a better idea, but like i said, any help would be great. I'm really excited about the move so i don't want to manage my expectations so i'm not too disappointed.

I generally fish in the south east for Smoothounds, Bass and starting to take more of an interest in Sea Trout, Wrasse and Pollock too. Mainly bait fishing at night but started lure fishing quite unsuccessfully last year but still eager to keep it up.

Tight lines and thanks,

J
