Power pro super 8 slick

#1 Post by cod chaser »

Hi lads have always used power pro braid for lure fishing. Need to Change braid as it's a few years old & was thinking of trying the power pro super 8 slick braid. Has anybody tried it any advantage over the power pro as it's the same diameter.

I have Power Pro on my baitcasting reel, 20lb and I love it for luring, no spool memory at all at all so there's no twisting! with the palomar knot i have yet to burst it with a fish. I've struggled to burst in snags to save myself 30yds of it. Excellent stuff very happy. Even the cheaper Power Pro is great, but doesn't last quite as long as the super 8 but still good quality.

Ya have a look at the reviews of it on Harris sportsmail. Might give you a better indication of what its like. They have the cheaper power pro braid as well

G'day. I've used Power Pro super slick for general drift work for a couple of years now - it's top stuff. Very smooth, easy on the thumb, no tangles, easy to knot (uni to uni to a short mono tip) and I haven't had the knot break yet.

I'm pretty sure everyone's input is valued irrespective of the board location! If you have an opinion share it :)
