3 nrth wexford marks

#1 Post by jhcabs »

People: Sat(day) me and John, Sat (night) me and mark

Duration: 5pm - 4am

Tide: last two hours of flood and the full ebb

Weather calm, SW winds:

Bait: Rag and Mack, cocktails

Rigs: 2 hook clipped down, pennel pulleys

Results: lots of flats and a rockling

enjoyable weekend of fishing and no blanks. main thing to report is that the flats were out in numbers. I had bites on pretty much every cast. I actually upped my hook sizes as i was getting tired of the small fish. Very pleasant on the beaches, and it was great to be catching fish again. The beaches have been completely changed, I took a lot of photos of marks to compare against last year. I wonder how they will fish this year.

Fished Ballymoney on the sunday. easterlies where back but the flats where still biting, only after dark though
