bass or pollack marks north clare / galway

I've heard of a few marks in north Clare that are good for bass and having fished them for 2-3 years and only catching 1 I'm beginning to think we're fishing the wrong places.... I'd also like to catch a few decent pollack so if any1 would be kind enough to PM me a few of their marks that would be worth a try it would be greatly appreciated we live in Oranmore / maree so I would be hoping to find a few marks for either pollack or bass within 1 hour of the house ..... I told you the story with the pollock already but its different with the bass. They are a few in Fanore but not many and going by a few storys I have been hearing the last few weeks they are only going to get more scarce. If you can find them you will catch them but they dont stay in the same place for long. I followed a shoal of about 30 of them (the remaining population on the beach I would bet) on the beach in fanore a calm day a few months back and they had moved a long way in the space of an hour. I still havent figured out the way they move about the place and for the few bass thats there i dont think I will bother with them any more because they are under huge pressure as it is, I think the place is blown out of all proportions as a bass mark to be honest. You could pick one up anywhere between black head and ballyreen but there is nobody I know that could say for sure where they will be at what state of the tide/day.

This time of year you would probably spend your time a little wiser if you looked towards the marks around Lehinch for your bass and stick to baits rather than lures. Fresh lug, razor and sandeel will help. Look for times when the water is fining down after rain or storms. If the water looks like a broken teabag go home.
