Tinnaberna, Ballynamona, morris castle, curracloe

#1 Post by jhcabs »

Hi

Heading down to wexford for the weekend with a friend. Really want to see him get his first big smooth hound. Do these beaches still hold good packs, decent sizes or is it a bit late in the year? Wouldn't mind a shore tope myself either so any suggestions would be really appreciated. Haven't fished there in a long while. PM me if you'd rather not let the whole world know.

Cheers

John

Is september too late for the smoothound guys? Worried now i'll drive down to nothing but doggies. I'd be better off going to copper faced jacks

While in the village of
Rosslare strand drive up the hill towards the old coast guard station
on your right hand side, there is parking on your left and access to
the beach is provided by a set of steps. This area is known locally as
‘The cannons’, as there are two old cannons stationed here. The recommended
target species for this area is that summer favourite –
Smoothound.
