navionics marine app

#1 Post by donal murphy »

I just got a marine app from navionics yesterday.. looks great and seems to work great.. I dont boat fish that often so i thought it would be worth a go.. i have a portable fish finder that we use when we go out. i'm hoping this will get us to the marks quicker now as you can use waypoints, set destinations and all that, but i havent gone out to use it yet...

just wondering has anyone used this app before... its called navionics UK & Holland

Ya mate I've had it now for over a year,it's good as a back up but wouldn't like it as my main navigation aid as the screen is too small..

I have it a year or so . It's an excellent bit of kit for the price. I use it while out in the yak it really helps me to find rock marks and judge the depth of water in the area.

Actually, there are a few things to know about Navionics. I bought the original version for €49 and they brought out a new version, so no updates after that, although I could still download the old one.

.Ok, fair enough, but I got an Android tablet and decided to get the version for that instead. Then they brought out a new HD version, and completely disabled the downloads for my tablet.

With that attitude to their customers, I have to say that any piracy of their products is well-deserved. Or use flytomap.com instead.
