dun laoghaire Harbour
Im bring my little on fishing at the weekend and was thinking of trying dun laoghaire harbour.
im gona set up a float rig for her on a small cheap rod i picked her up and i'll be fishing one from the bottom and trying out my feathers too
What im wondering was would you fish the East or West Pier ?

West pier, less dog walkers, chit chatters, more to be had on the float from the west pier in my opinion

Just don't hit the HSS with a 6oz gripper weight. They get cross about that sort of thing.

Re: dun laoghaire Harbour
With regard to the West Pier, is it best to float fish inside the harbour at the end of the pier or off the wall out to sea? I've tried the latter before with feathers but I'd imagine a float might get in everyones way? I should say it's macks I'm after not wrasse

Re: dun laoghaire Harbour
Chenz, the last two sets of steps on the west pier might be best because the water is calm enough for float-fishing but still deep enough for pollock and mackerel. Not sure about east pier.
