Just don't hit the HSS with a 6oz gripper weight. They get cross about that sort of thing.

With regard to the West Pier, is it best to float fish inside the harbour at the end of the pier or off the wall out to sea? I've tried the latter before with feathers but I'd imagine a float might get in everyones way? I should say it's macks I'm after not wrasse

Chenz, the last two sets of steps on the west pier might be best because the water is calm enough for float-fishing but still deep enough for pollock and mackerel. Not sure about east pier.
