north wexford low tide

#1 Post by iascnushfish »

lads myself and the uncle headin down to wexford midweek, i was hoping for
a nice 3-5 pound smoothie but i see the tides might be against me with
low tides at 2am or so. anyone know of any of the north wexford beaches
fishing well at the mo on a low or receeding tide.

also ive heard in the past that the smoothies fish well at first light.
i make first light at 5am approx at the moment so that would mean
an incoming/middling tide at that time, would it be worth a go staying
up for the night

I've heard Ennereilly fishes better on a dropping tide, maybe someone else can confirm this, i'm only going by Fishface and he hasnt caught a fish in ages

Haha  Ennereilly does fish on a dropping tide it usually goes slack around high water when the run on the beach cools off. When the tide starts to flood or ebb thats when the run picks up and the fish start feeding........allegedly
