both the east and west pier throw up pollack(some big ones) and wrasse on the float with the end of the west pier off the wall probably being a good point to start as you can fish on the float for wrasse and pollack as well as bottom fish onto the sand for dabs flounder plaice and dogfish...... use a two hook rig for bottom fishing or else a float set up .. Ragworm will take all species and though most of the fish are small there should be plenty of action round this time of year ......

my advice is forget both piers and go somewhere decent, ok nice to see couple of dolphin (maybe)that It ,if you are so so soooo lucky you could get something over there, plus ground is so rafffffffff therefore you will lose some of your rig i can garanthyyyyyyyy that. if i were you i wont spent 2 minutes to go there 4 fishing.
After all still wanna give a shot there just bring your spining gear, more than enough 4 those piers.
if you like to go any pier 4 fishing go even howth or malahide (when maccerel arrives)other than as i said before piers fishing in dublin is s.......t
