There are some older posts on it here with reports of a 5lb being caught to lug back in 2008 around this time.

I'd be interested in any more recent reports myself.

My daughter (7) is dying for a codling but obviously she has no distance casting ;) I was thinking it may be easier for her to just drop it off the bridge! And I can't help... she has to do it herself ;)

Planning a session for Sunday evening but weather looks crapola :(

Thanks Bhoy32!

Any other idea's around east cork where a 7yr old girl could cast and catch a cod?

Maybe more shore fishing is called for, she's just too used to the boat ;)
