hi, had a short session on a local mark last night, we had the usual doggies, thornies and a different looking wrasse I haven't seen before, I know its a bit on the small side anyone out ther able to give me positive id, thanks

lovely wee male corkwing wrasse there man. the bright neon blue streaks are a dead give away across his face and between the tail. the female of the species is'nt as brightly coloured but it has a big dark blotch at the base of the anal fin that identifies it from any other wrasse should you ever get one man :P . hope this helps

Run your finger nail down the edge of its gill plate if unsure. Corkwings have a serrated edge that can clearly be felt. Deffo a Corkwing by the way.
Fluff chucking is the new black..... Rampant Wreckfish is a fly angler in denial :D

Thanks for all that lads, great wealth of experience and info always available on this forum, glad to be a part of it. Thanks again, its always good to get a new species :D
