Wexford 18th June

A couple of us are heading down to wexford on the 18th june for a couple of day... we will be going for smoothies and Bass. is there anywhere local we can get good decent lug? any advice or tactics welcome

Wexford is not great for lug digging unless you go down the south of Wexford and that's a long drive from where you're going to be fishing, why waste time digging when you could be fishing.

If ya fancy the drive down mate the Burrow in Rosslare strand is brilliant for lug.. good big ones

Be careful digging in the burrow, some of it is now designated as an SAC

you can dig rag down in the burrow to.

If you are going digging on the Burrow, take care not to try to cross the mud for the first 100 yards up the track. Its like quicksand there, you can easily get stuck up to your waist in the mud. Better to drive up the track for a couple of hundred yards first, but mind the potholes. Straight out from there is a mussel bed with plenty of ragworm, but can only be accessed on big tides. The lugworms can be dug right up to 2 hours before high water. Best of luck, wish I was over there now the bass fishing is great at the moment.
