Clogher Head, Port Oriel

#1 Post by Jimclarke »

Hi All
Took a spin up to Clogherhead on Sat 8th for the evening tide, although its a user friendly mark especially if accompanied with eldest daughter it always proves to be a blank, has anybody had any success around this area

if its clogherhead louth ??? your talking about it can be a struggle.. i used to have a caravan up there an although i used to catch pollock around the head spinning in summer and big flounder off the beach it was hard going mate.. the pier does be alive with mackrel in summer but baltray at the mouth of the boyne would give yo a better chance of landing something nice coming into summer with big bass and flatties being taken on a flooding tide with a good surf runnibg
