I tried this stuff before, I caught nothing at all. Tried it a few times and never had a single bite. But I wouldnt mind giving the natural colours a go. Hope this helps, Ian

I seen an episode were henry used storm sandeels with great success so I went out and bought a pack. I have caught some good pollock on them. I just spin them down around rocks and kelp. Im not sure if you would have much luck spinning though as its starting to get cold out. cheers, Ian

iv never caught on the white rag but got a doggie once on the red ones, your better off sticking to real bait in my opinion but if your really stuck maybe its worth a try!

only ever used rag twice, find the mouth, grab it behind the mouth, and it can't bite, thread the hook thru the mouth and the rag will do the rest.any way its only king rag that can hurt, and your a man, deal with it!! :D

mate i had the same problem when i started a few years back   , and would only use frozen baits. but a lad showed me how to use a baiting needle to put the rag on. since then my catch rate and species list got a hell of alot better...
found that those gulp baits look better left on the shelf :D :D
some times catching crabs is a good thing.........or is it...........?

Have fished those like a jellyworm and got coalfish and pollock, the white seemed to really work just as it got dark. Taken cod on the red versions fished static but then again that was north of the 62 degree line so not really saying much.

I got a pack online, used them over 5+ sessions, zero results, cant beat the movement of the real thing. Useless bait, not even for tipping. Man up! Are you a aman or are you a worm phobic mouse ;) Rag are gross, but great bait

I actually find these quite good and always keep a few packs in the boot in case there is no live bait available. I have caught good size flounder and small bass with the red rag worm ones. I'm going to get some of the new Gulp alive worms and crabs as they are re-usable. I will let you know how they go. I might even fish live bait on one rod and gulp on the other for a session and see what happens
Target species for 2010 = 30

I used them once and they are rubbish.. Yeah just hold the head of the rag and thread hook it. I must admit I actually get a rash from using rag and lug.. I also get nipped quite alot.. wait until u start using maddies and crabs, the claws always get stuck in my throat... huh 50

use a bit of sand on your fingers when holding the rag, it gives you a good grip makes it a lot easier to put them on the hook
