Weather: windy and wet

Report:we went to dingle for a weeks fishing but had a nightmare arrived on the saturday 18th (day 1)got to fish for 1/2 hour and got 1 wrass as it was pissing out all day (day 2)could not fish any of the marks we wanted as it was blowing a gale and to dangerous so no fish (day 3) winds had droped a bit and got a hour in on cloger head were gitsea had some mackeral so with a bit of fresh bait plans were made to fish brandon in the evening for the bass and ray so off we went with hopes high then the nightmare begins on the way to brandon on the conner pass the car broke down we made a few phone calls and got a tow back to dingle so brandon was out the window (day 4)with the car in the garage we had no transport so no fishing (day 5)tow back to dublin at a cost of 400 euro and back in dublin a new whole new engine needed so dont know when we will be back out

That was a nightmare alright - almost bad enough to make you want to take up golf instead.

I am so sorry to hear that your trip to Dingle was a nightmare :(
Nothing seem to go right for you, the weather and then the car broke down in the worst place possible - the connors pass!
It's enough to put you off going again although hopefully it hasn't.
I hope you get the car back on the road again soon, keep your chin up :wink:

You should have put this in the( Fishing Trip Boo-Boos: to Avoid).

jesus tightlines :shock: :shock: now thats a nightmare! you have to get good karma after that :D always goes wrong at the worst possible moments :twisted: id think id cry if that happened to me :oops:

nightmare m8 :shock:

i flew out to the parents in cloghane/brandon on Friday woke up sat morning hoping to get a few hours fishing in but it was blowing 50 mph so fishing was out, thought have a few hours tomorrow but alas the winds where even stronger still, woke up to go home on Monday NO bloody wind and the sun cracking the flags TYPICAL :x
it was a woman who drove me to drink and i never stopped to thank her

A right sickener lads, I feel your pain :( Hopefully the bass will have the decency to compensate you when you return.

oh the joys of the connor pass ,good place for a test drive ,if its gonna go wrong that hill will find the weekness ,at least your brakes didnt go :!: :roll: my mum lives in tralee and is always telling me the weather is lovely down their :lol: till you take out a fishing rod!!
