Glenarm beach, co antrim, 24/7/09
People:me, mate Liam and Robert
Duration:8pm to 1am
Tide:incoming, high about 1am
Weather:nice, for a change
Bait:peeler,lug,rag,sandeel,bluey
Rigs:3 hook flapper, 3 and 2 hook loop rig at distance
Results: in total 11 flounders, 12 dogs ,1 codling ,1 plaice
out of which i caught 3 dogs, 1 flounder and codling
Report:using up some browine points and after chatting to a old mate decided to fish gleman, they where fishing from 7pm i arrived at 8pm, they had a few flats caught by the time i got there, looked like a good night. Got set up and put a flapper with rag/bluey in close, and sandeels at distance, after an hour or so the flounder took the rag/bluey, off the mark, blank saved, rebaited and cast out and the distance rod got a knock, bring it in and a nice wee codling took a full sandeel, never got cod on sandeel before, but it happens. After that it went quiet even the crabs stopped, got a big knock when put peelers on but missed it, pity only had two crabs, thanks to Robert for sharing his, as darknest fell the dog fest begain, mainly to straight bluey but my biggest lsd came to sandeel. It was good to wet a line again, looking forward to earning more brownie points, nice to meet up and fish with Liam again and it was nice to meet Robert

NIce one on the species list. Pitty about missing the big wollop on the distance rod- hateful not knowing whta it is. Maybe a bass??
On the whole I would say your brownie points seem well spent.
