Report: left larne on thurs mornin and arrived in bridlington at 5pm. friday we took a drive down the coast to have a look at the cliffs to find a way onto the beach and 1 of the spots we had hoped to fish was out of the question last year the get down was easy enough but this year its a shear 40ft drop. so onto the beach i had been gettin reports from some of the lads i know over there and it was lookin very good with some of the locals on the beach hitting theb cod at 30 to 100 yards. so after that up to the checkin and had a chat with some of the TSF lads and gary prye too and a we castin class too down at the bottom of the caravan park with danny moeskops. so bed early that nite and up again at 3am out of the house for 4am and on the beach for 5am and by 6am the beach was packed and the match started at 10am. fishing was slow for the first 3 hours the other lads on the beach where sayin its too calm and there would be ever little cod about. then i got a good rattle on my rod and pulled in my first whiting at 38cm sortly after that my 2nd whiting of 37cm and on the last cast jonah pulled a whiting of 36cm. got upto the weight with 15mins to spare and there wasn't much cod about and 1 nice thornie of 7lb. the winning fish on the sat was a cod of 9lb 6oz. sunday was the same again with very little about i hit a whiting 2nd cast at just under the 40cm mark and after that a 2 undersize whiting at 34cm and 35cm. will got 2 whiting but 1 was undersize at 35cm and a keeper of 37cm. got up to the weight in and there was some nice cod with the biggest tipping the scales at just over 15lb most of the cod that where caught where on down the coast at dimlington and easington. good weekend as usual and alot more tips and stuff picked up. will be back next year for defo.
