Indestructable. Undestructable? Non-destructable? Good choice, whichever.jonny gilbert wrote:a shakespear ugly stick spin anyone had any experiences with this rod

I have an 8ft ugly stick which i had been using for the last 6-7 years, agree that they are indestructable and you can really play fish hard with them. I decided to go with something with a little more length and bought a mike ladle surespin which is excellent, and a rockhopper rod which seems very similar. These are both longer rods of about 11 foot, but both seem very good, the rockhopper can be picked up now for about £35 - half the price of the surespin. I still think the ugly stik is a great rod though.

Re: spinning rods
......spot on there Tanglerat, have been using the 8' model ( cork handle ) for years and i love it, some years back they brought out a 9' model with a foam handle, was not fussed on it, it was a little to stiff and not very sensitive. but for strengh and durability the uglystick is one cracker of a rod you couldn't fault them....Tanglerat wrote:Indestructable.
