Its virtually impossible to acuratly gauge your distance over water. Every 2nd guy on the beach reckons they can cast 200yds untill they see it layed out infront of them in a field :roll:

Never a truer word said, as my PB 135m will testify!

135m with lead, is probably only 100m with 3 baited hooks, and I find 85% of fishing conditions don't even call for that.

I mean look at Brock, he's some what of Record Breaker on the field, but can he catch fish.....NO :lol:

180 yards with bait :shock: one time i got well over 200 yards with a 5oz and bait while fishing, but it was a crack off :lol: :lol:

Tex I,ve been shore fishing for decades and have tried them all believe you me stick to your fixed spool as the multi,s are not worth the bother .. they look the part but it ends there !

The guy probably can do 180m, I did 243m with a three hook flapper after just 1 lesson from Lanky :mrgreen:

Seriously though AG did 180 with a simulation trace on the field if you can do it on the beach youll beat Danny.

If ur hitting 180+ you could get some cracking birdies in the dark with a multiplier.
I would stick where you are.
