headlamp
Looking a reasonable priced head lamp that doesnt take a car battery to charge it. i have one of those already. something nice and light but doesnt break after a couple of session because of cheap plastic.
cheers in advance

im using one of those energiser led ones - 4 triple a batteries lasts 50 hours - no complaints
not hugely powerful for great distance - but very light
€20 with the batteries included - 4 different settings, with 4 white leds and 2 red and adjustable angle on the led part

Hi Round_ourway
I am using a recently purchased Princetontec Apex and find it brilliant. Good beam range (3 watt on main), good battery life, 5 modes and they can be bought at a good price.
Veals do them online for £69 + P&P
I bought mine new, delivered to my door for €50 from US.
I would really recommend the lamp too, its also used alot of mountaineers so should be up to a fair bit of abuse

Just bought one of those headlamps, similar type.....
Unfortunately, I thought it was 12v and put a big battery on it....
Bulbs now fried.
I can't find the bulbs ANYWHERE on the net.... 6v, 20w halogen, G4 base.
Anyone know of any tackle shops that stock them?
Cheers

Just ordered 2 from Farnell.... coming from the states though, gonna take 2 weeks
Got 2X 5 watt ones for the moment, does the job 'ok' for the moment I suppose.
