White rock "the" place to hang and get drunk nowdays

Doen at killiney last nit for a few hours (didnt carch anything) was going to try whiterock, but on getting half way down the path i was met by a group of 20, between the ages of 16 and 20 i guess, all heading down to a group already on the beach, with boxes of booze and music.

Im sure i sound like a complete old fogey, but i was a little annoyed at the beach taken over at 11:30 at night, and honestly, i didnt relish fishing beside a group of drunken teenagers as i would feel i need to watch my back all the time.

Nothing anyone can do about it, this is just a rant really!

The place is renowned for it in the summer I have came across and seen all sorts on the beach at night over the years

I'd stay away from White Rock myself at night unless I was with a few mates fishing. Nothing worse than having to watch over your shoulder when you are trying to enjoy your fishing. At least you were not set up and fishing before they came!

That wasnt too bad there was a full blown rave down there 1 night many moons ago .another time doing a dawn session a guy came down with a saxaphone and played away in the shed -now that was deadly

ha ha,i was down in castletown bere fishing a few weeks back and there was a guy up on one of the hills playing a saxaphone,went on for about 2 hours...twas savage...mad that...
