How often do you get out fishing?
With work, family and general commitments, how often do you get out fishing?
When you do get out is it an hour or two at the nearest mark, even if that mark is not the best or do you make an effort to go for your favorite mark, make it a proper fishing trip?

Re: How often do you get out fishing?
Used to get out two or three times a week until my son was born! Still manage maybe two sessions a month but a lot of them are 'handy' local sessions for an hour or two. One advantage is that I tend to plan 'proper' sessions a bit better now and try to think about how to get the best out of them. Lure fishing is great for quick sessions-just grab the gear and run!
It ain't easy but it sure is simple!

Re: How often do you get out fishing?
I'm not a huge winter angler I do go down maybe once a year now to Waterford for one trip to chase cod and the fishing on the east coast in the winter leaves a lot to be desired to say the least so I fish mainly from May to October and I try to get as much fishing done as possible at least once a week sometimes twice and I try to go to the marks I want or at least to marks that have produced for us before I rarely if ever fish my surrounding coast line of Dublin and especially not in winter

Re: How often do you get out fishing?
3 times a week on average, more if the fishing is good but I only go on short sessions, 2 hours here 2 hours there mostly local, I have the pleasure of living 25 to 30 minutes from the sea east or west and about an hours drive east or west to some seriously good marks. If I have to travel an hour its a full session with a stop off on the way home to scout a new mark.

Just stumbled accross this website: http://www.fishcrack.com/category/girls-gone-fishing
I think I need to get out more often or move all together when I compare it with this. No offense Donal

I get about twice a week...I don't really look at tides unless I'm planning ahead. It's all about just getting out, whether I catch or not, I still enjoy it
sure, its not raining between the showers!
