frozen bait

any body know is there any frozen crab for sale in the north west
probably be fishing some where between sligo and killybegs later in the week

Try Carty's Land and Seasports in Bundoran, Tel – 00353 (0)86 3903655, he sometimes has crab and a selection of other frozen bait, sandeel, razor, black lug etc.
2013 species; 31

2018 species; 33

2019 species; ballan wrasse,blonde ray, coalfish, cod, cuckoo wrasse, dab, dogfish, flounder, goldsinny wrasse, ling, mackerel, plaice, pollack, poorcod, pouting, scad, sea scorpion, spotty ray, spurdog, thornback, tub gurnard, turbot, whiting.

thanks john will give them a ring before we leave have plenty of mack squid and sand eels so the worst of times we have bait

What are you fishing for? Frozen lug and mackerel should be enough on most beaches on the west coast no need for crab :)

dont realy need them just trying to give ourselves a bit of an edge it can be a bit scrapy at this time of the year be fishing broken ground for flats dogs and with a bit of luck cod whitening coalies

Have tried crab on several beaches with no luck ,rag is very hit and miss to! Mackerel and lug I find work for me. Maddies is also suppose to be good but never tried them Best of luck!

hi there dont know if you are still looking but i spotted frozen peeler crab in barton smiths in sligo yesterday. they also had frozen black lug but seems quite expensive, i opted for frozen sandeel+some mackerel instead
