Was there anybody else fishing and if so how did they do?
Two other guys off Devil's Rock, no luck.
Few others off the pier...didn't see anyone getting lucky.

Was using a dexter wedge and also tried a few feathers.
Saw a few large fish swim by the pier, hugging the rocks.
Not sure what they were...Mullet maybe?

Might be going to Galway City during the week, might try off the Pier there...see if I have anymore luck.

New to the sport so I figure it's more to do with my poor technique rather than a lack of fish!

Just back from flogging Ballingary Island(north Kerry) at high tide ...apart from a small pollock on my first cast to lull me into a false sense of optimism that was it ....nothing for 2 hours ...

Plenty in cobh again last night but very small. They were breaking very close to the wall which was great as the young kids could reach them.

I should add that I'm only mentioning the Chinese anglers because some are very quick to comment when it's not so positive.
